1) newspapers were delivered in our homes (in the US) for decades
2) food delivery has also been going on over the phone for decades
but sure, I agree with the general sentiment that the internet has made some tasks even easier to accomplish without leaving your home.
The question is if you are going to turn that saved time into laziness or something productive and/or fun :)
