Not sure how, but I woke up to a scramble of googling on NLG. I got the impression out that while there are some very interesting applications like automated journalism (weather, sports, business news) as well as in business intelligence (2-page summaries of 300-page financial results), the field is not as progressed on the “opposite” side of NLG, Natural Language Processing (NLP).
