I tried put.io just before i bought my Chromebook, because torrents were the only thing that i needed to somehow get to work on a browser, so I could use the Chromebook only... However, as cool a service as it is, it (then) was not running very smooth... But that was over a year ago..
Seems to be fine although i only tried a single torrent so far. The cool part was that they keep a cache of downloaded torrents, so this was instantly available for me because someone else had downloaded it as well :)
